Herniated disc refers to a problem with one of the rubbery cushions, that sit between the bones(vertebrae) that stack to make your spine. A spinal disc has a soft jellylike center (nucleus) encased in a tougher rubbery exterior (annulus)
Herniated disc occurs when some of the nucleus pushes out through a tear in the annulus. It is sometimes called slipped disc or ruptured disc.
A herniated disc can occur in any part of the spine most often the lower back which can result to pain in the buttocks, thigh and foot. If the herniated disc is in your neck, you will feel the pain in your shoulder and arm, it might even go as far as your leg when you cough, sneeze or move into certain positions.
You might also have tingling or numbness in the affected body part being served by the nerve and also weakness due to muscles being served by the affected nerve which can affect your stability or ability to lift or hold items.

🌟Causes
Age: The gradual, ageing related wear and tear of the disc(degenerative disc disease)
